OUR STORY
Mpopomeni began as my father’s dream - a vision sparked the day he first walked this land and saw its potential to become something truly magical. He poured his heart into shaping the farm into the sanctuary it is today, and as the journey grew, so did our family’s role in it. While he leads the hard work of bringing Mpopomeni to life, I’ve joined him by taking on the smaller tasks - from admin to welcoming guests - helping weave together the place we now proudly call home.

ABOUT MPOPOMENI FARM

At Mpopomeni, we believe in living in harmony with the earth. Our name, which means “the place of living waters,” couldn’t be more fitting — our farm is blessed with three natural waterfalls and pure spring water that flows gently through the land. Soon, we’ll be sharing this gift with the world by bottling our natural spring water, straight from the heart of Mpopomeni.
As a family-run farm, our roots are grounded in love for nature and community. Every step we take — from cultivating the land to caring for our animals — is guided by a deep respect for the natural rhythms around us. Our Nguni cows, geese, sheep, and soon chickens roam freely, adding their own charm to the peaceful life we nurture here.
We’re also growing our farm accommodation, inviting visitors to experience the beauty and tranquility of Mpopomeni firsthand. Whether it’s the sound of cascading water, the scent of earth after rain, or the sight of morning mist over the fields — there’s a sense of magic here that reconnects you to what really matters.
Our dream is to create a self-sustaining homestead, where much of what we eat, build, and create comes directly from the land itself. But beyond that, we see Mpopomeni as a place of endless creativity and possibility — a home for diverse projects, inspired ideas, and meaningful growth.
Here, we don’t just live on the land — we live with it.
